1.Decide if the statements below are true or false:
(1)In China when you are invited to dinner, the host will be upset if you do not try all of the dishes.
(2)In the Middle East,it is polite to eat with your left hand .
(3)When eating noodles in Italy, making a noise is okay.
(4)People in Japan always take their shoes off inside someone's house.
(5)When you are late for a meeting, there is no need to say ‘sorry’.
(6)In England it is usual to talk about the weather when you start a conversation

Discuss with your partners and try to answer the following questions according to the information provided in the above forms.
1. How many gestures in the form share the same meaning to people in both countries? What are they?
2. Do you think people from different countries can understand each other by using gestures?
3. Do you think the difference in body language between the two countries will become smaller and smaller? Why or why not?
4. What is your suggestion for people from different cultures who want to communicate with each other?
