Step III. Grammar focus
1.T: Hi, everyone! How’s the weather? What are we doing? What are you doing? Next let’s turn to page 39. Read the sentences aloud in Grammar Focus .
2. Ask the Ss to think about when they will use the two tenses: the Simple Present Tense and the Present Progressive Tense. First let the Ss show their own ideas, then show the completed summary on the screen and the Ss can take the opportunity to check their own ideas.
Simple Present Tense: 一般现在时
现在经常反复发生的动作、存在的状态或习惯性的动作。
Present Progressive Tense: 现在进行时
现在(说话瞬间)正在进行或发生的动作或当前一段时间内的活动或现阶段正在进行的动作。
e.g. We are studying for the math test these days.
I am reading a history book this month.
3. Then, ask the Ss to summary the form of the Present Progressive Tense by comparing the sentences on PPT.
–What are you doing? –I’m watching TV.
–What is he doing? –He is cleaning his room.
–What are they doing? –They are listening to music.
The form is: be (am / is / are) + do-ing

Ø 根据上下文的问句和答语来确定空格处的意思, 特别是每个空格后面的词汇。
Ø 根据上下文的时态及时间状语来确定句子的时态。如: right now 为现在进行时态的时间状语。而 usually,every Saturday 及 every day 是一般现在时态的时间状语。
现在进行时态的句子结构:be (am, is, are) + 动词的 ing形式; 一般现在时态的句子用动词的原形或第三人称单数形式。如: 第一题由问句可知答句为现在进行时。后一句为一般现在时。

亮点
语法教学相对于其他知识的学习,往往让学生感觉枯燥难懂,所以在知识的学习中要设计合理的教学环节和教学活动。首先 ,让学生从已学的知识入手,让学生感觉的知识并不难。为了避免枯燥,为学生努力营造轻松活泼的学习氛围。并加强了情景教学。其次,在教学过程中,运用现代化的教学手段,尽可能的调动学生的多种感官协同作用,使英语学习多样化。最后通过让学生自己观察句子结构、然后归纳、总结,让学生参与到课堂当中,成为课堂的主体。
通过课堂操练,体现了语法教学——“比较不同、总结规律、模仿操练”的课堂流程.
使用建议
通过本单元学生比较感兴趣的话题“Describe the weather;Describe what you are doing”的操练,一定会使学生有更深刻的印象; 对所学的语法规则进行适当的总结和归类,以帮助学生了解时态意义,正确把握所学内容。
不足之处
教案知识性的设计较多一些,对于方法和教法的设计还应适当加大,注重设计的目的性和预设性,达到应有的效果。让学生真正掌握语法结构,进行大量的情景句型操练是必不可少的。
