Unit 1 What does she look like? 第二课时 教案

一、教学目标

(一)语言目标

     1.词汇:能听懂、会说、认读新单词tallshort, longroundyoungold

     2.句型:能运用句型,初步询问他人的外貌特征;对书信的格式有初步感知。

(二)应用目标

 1. 能询问他人的外貌。

 2. 能独立阅读书信,并能寻找和获取信息,用来完成表格。

二、教学重、难点

     1.重点:能听懂、会说、认读新单词tallshort, longroundyoungold。能询问他人“ What does he / she look like并能运用“He /She is tall. ”“He /She has big eyes.”介绍他人外貌。

2.难点:信件的形式的阅读文本给学生增加了新奇感,同时也存在视觉上的难度挑战,学生要能读懂信件的寄信人、收信人和大概内容,需要教师点拨才行。

四、教学过程

Step 1 热身/复习(Warm-up/Revision

  Game: Choose

  教师提供几张图片,请学生根据图片的外貌选择形容词来描述人物。

  1._____ is tall / short.            2._____ is tall / short. 

  3._____ has short hair / long hair.   4._____ is ugly /beautiful.

  5._____ is thin / fat.           6._____ has big eyes/smalleyes.

7._____ has big eyes/smalleyes.  8._____ has a round face/long face.

Step 2新课呈现(Presentation

1. Talk about our teachers

(1)带读:our Chinese teacher, our English teacher, our maths teacher

(2)T: Who is our Chinese teacher?

What does he /she look like

  Ss: …

  T: Who is our maths teacher?

What does he / she look like

  Ss: …

  T: What do I look like?

  Ss: …

  学生问答时可以参照以下板书来进行:

What does he / she look like

  He / She is tall / short /beautiful /…

  He / She has a round face /long hair/short hair/big eyes/small eyes/…

Pre-reading

 教师用课件呈现自己笔友的照片和来信,介绍pen friend

TNancy wants to make a pen friend. This letter is from Nancy to her friend.

  教师用课件将写的信通过电子邮件发送出去并介绍:“The pen friend (Jane)has got the letter.”课件呈现笔友收到了信,很喜悦,阅读了信的内容并动笔写回信。教师:“This letter is from Jane to Nancy.”

While-reading

(1)            First, read it by yourselves in two minutes. And then do the exercises.

Tick or cross:

Letter 1 is from Nancy.        (    )

Nancy likes her maths teacher.  (    )

Letter 2 is from Nancy.        (    )

Jane likes her Chinese teacher.  (    )

   第一遍阅读后,做简单判断题,旨在引导学生练习跳读,快速发现关键信息,对于学生初步感知文体结构和梗概大意很有帮助。

2Complete the chant

  运用查读法进行第二遍仔细阅读,获取信息。然后与同学交流确定答案,自主填空。培养学生的合作学习能力。核对答案。

3Fill in the blanks.

  通过阅读这两封信,完成短文填空,旨在抓住细节,强化学生对信的整体理解,为第三课时写作做准备。

Post-reading

  全班分为两个大组,比赛朗读D部分。这一部分旨在加深对文章的理解,培养学生的英语语感。

Step 3  作业布置(Homework

1.仿照C部分,向家人介绍你喜欢的老师的外貌特征。

2.以为题,画一画你在班上的好朋友的肖像,并用英语描述,写在画的反面。第三课时将要用来做“Guessing Game”
